Manley SLAM!

The Manley SLAM! is a stereo limiter and microphone preamplifier for studio recording, combining two Class A tube preamplifiers with two different types of limiter (ELOP and FET) on each channel. The unit offers flexibility for both recording monitoring and mastering, with an optional digital-to-analogue converter and a special mastering version featuring precision-stepped controls.

Key features:
+Two Class A tube preamps: Each channel features a preamp with selectable phase reversal, a high-pass filter and phantom power for easy connection of various microphones.
+Two pairs of limiters: The unit features two different limiters per channel – a classic opto-electronic ELOP limiter and a fast FET ‘brickwall’ limiter. These limiters can be used separately or simultaneously to achieve different sonic colours and dynamic control.
+DI inputs: Integrated instrument DI inputs with selectable input impedance for optimal adaptation to various instruments.

Flexibility for mastering: There is a special SLAM! Mastering version, which offers precise, detented (stepped) controls for 1/2dB changes and is tailored to the demanding requirements of mastering.
+Optional A/D converter: A digital-to-analogue (A/D) converter can be optionally installed in the unit, further expanding its functionality.
